Forbrain helping with ADHD and attention issues in children

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most commonly diagnosed disorders in young children around the world.

As many as 1 in 10 children being diagnosed with ADHD between the ages of 5 and 17. Children with ADHD often have a difficult time staying on task. Due to ADHD forgetfulness, they are easily distracted, have difficulty staying still, and daydream a lot.

ADHD can create difficulties in a classroom and at home and if left undiagnosed, it can prove to be a significant obstacle to learning. Hence, there is a need to be on the lookout for speech therapy for ADHD and tools that can help the child overcome issues with attention. This includes understanding how to discipline a child with ADHD effectively, using supportive and constructive strategies.

HOW DOES FORBRAIN HELP WITH ADHD?

Forbrain is an educational tool that is being used by several therapists and families to use with children who show signs and are diagnosed with ADHD. Forbrain allows the user to hear themselves slightly louder and this effect of hearing themselves louder can have a kind of grounding effect on children and help them to stay focused, present, and on task. The tool really trains the child's brain to focus in order to improve their attention span. It can also help them to remember things because the message is easier for the brain to process.

In the following video, Grace Lindley, a speech and language therapist based in Paris, talks extensively about the different facets of ADHD - what are the causes, observed symptoms, how Forbrain can help children with ADHD and speech therapy activities to improve attention and concentration with Forbrain. Grace regularly uses Forbrain with her clients in her practice and it is a great tool to use in activities when children with ADHD may have a difficult time staying on task, like reading books together, where they may usually have a tendency to daydream.
